Baltimore Ravens Web site

The Baltimore Ravens wanted to create a unique interactive experience that would keep their fans in the action seven days a week: one that would reflect the team's prestige, strengthen their relationship with a growing fan base, and rationalize their fan data - which had been collected in five separate databases.

It was a Super Bowl-size challenge: how do you keep the game-day energy pumping all week, but not send the Ravens' administrative staff into overtime? ID Society created a Web site with enough interactive features to put even the fiercest armchair quarterback on the field, including breaking news, real-time stats, and a daily poll to allow the fans' voices to be heard.

Behind the scenes, we deployed a Content Management System to automate updates and provide access for multiple content editors. We added visual excitement with a media library that automatically pairs articles with images and video, and created a publishing system to give the Ravens organization control over content creation. And to help the Ravens keep in touch with their fans, we provided a Customer Relationship Managing tool to collect and manage fan demographic data, providing a quick and easy way to manage Newsletter subscriptions, site memberships, monthly catalogs, promotions and to send mailings to segmented membership lists.

The result: Traffic and registrations have increased dramatically since ID Society and the Ravens teamed up. In one season, the Ravens fan database & newsletter list grew over 2,500%, and continues to grow by leaps every year. Ravens fans have found an online home that hums with all the excitement of game day. The Ravens organization has something new to cheer about. ID Society was awarded the prestigious "Standard of Excellence" Web Award by the Web Marketing Association (WMA) for Outstanding Achievement in innovation in design for the site.
