2004 marked the 9th anniversary of Lifetime Television's "Stop Breast Cancer for Life" program, a comprehensive initiative featuring breast cancer-related programming on-air and online. ID Society designed and developed a Flash Web site for the campaign that allows families affected by the disease to share their stories of hope and survival, or memorialize a loved one.
The site, launched in October 2003, allows people affected by the disease to communicate on a worldwide level with others by sharing their experiences. Site visitors can locate others' stories using the "Map of Hope," search for a specific story or add a story of their own. The site was developed entirely in Flash and includes an administration suite that allows Lifetime editorial control over which stories are posted.
