Enhanced CD

Sarah Brightman is one of Angel Records' premiere artists. Her music spans a wide array of music elds and touches many listeners, but tends to be very popular only in certain markets. To expand her fan base, Angel Records (a Capitol Record Label) aspired to increase her presence in techno, jazz and hip hop markets following the release of different mixes of her two most popular songs.

Angel Records came to ID Society to provide cutting edge technology and value-added features to her potential new fans. ID Society leveraged its expertise in user intelligence, interface design, and information architecture to develop an enhanced CD. The CD gave users the ability to view special features through their personal computers in both PC and Macintosh formats, including a downloadable screen saver, downloadable music, live video and the ability to sign up for the artist's newsletter. The CD also allowed viewers to link directly to Angel Records' Web site and Sarah Brightman's Web site.

Overall, the cross over between music genres and audio and visual equipment connected an established artist with new audiences. Sarah Brightman's enhanced CD was available in all major music stores.
